Iris

I can't get this song out of my head this morning. Yeah, I know why. It's significant.

Iris, by the GooGoo Dolls- remember that song featured in the movie "City of Angels"? I tried to put a clip of it on here but apparently I don't know how to do that.

This is the chorus.....
And I don't want the world to see me,
'Cause I don't think that they'll understand.
When everything's made to be broken,
I just want you to know who I am.
I just want you to know who I am.
I just want you to love who I am.
I just want you to want who I am.
I just want you to need who I am.
I just want you to know who I am.

My husband's exwife was the same age with the same amount of children when they split up. She said later to one of the kids she wasn't well at the time.

I think I read a few weeks ago, that people younger than myself can have a midlife crises. Not sure if it was as young as you. There is a series on the radio national website called midlife matters.

Other thoughts are that you are going from a young family to an established family.

And here's a song right back at ya...Casting Crowns "Who am I?"

Who am I that the Lord of all the earth, should care to know my name, should care to feel my hurt?
Who am I that the bright and morning star, would choose to light the way, for my ever wandering heart. Not because of who I am, but because of what you've done, Not because of what I've done, but because of who You are. I am a flower quickly fading, here today and gone tomorrow, a wave tossed in the ocean. Still you hear me when I'm calling, Lord you catch me when I'm falling, and you told me who I am. I am yours.

"When everything around you look so bleak and uncertain, hold onto God who made the smallest birds and the largest mountains. He is the same today and tomorrow. He it is that holds you in His hands."

Love you Min. Helen.

Hey Min - comment for you on my blog.

Btw - I remember you sharing the special occasion that song was arranged to be played just for you... That man went to so much trouble to show you how much he cared!

xxoooooooo so much Min!

From Darlene Zschech/ Hillsong:

Beautiful Lord, wonderful Saviour
I know for sure all of my days
are held in Your Hand,
Crafted into Your perfect plan.
You gently call me into Your presence
Guiding me by Your Holy Spirit
Teach me dear Lord to live all of my life
Through Your eyes.
I'm captured by Your holy calling;
Set me apart - I know You're drawing me to Yourself-
Lead me Lord I pray.
Take me
Mould me
Use me
Fill me
I give my life to the Potter's Hand
Call me
Guide me
Lead me
Walk beside me
I give my life to the Potter's Hand

And one I'm claiming for you and your whole family moment by moment by Don Moen:

God will make a way
where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength
for each new day
He will make a way
He will make a way
By a roadway in the wilderness
He'll lead me
And rivers in the desert will I see
Heaven and earth will fade but
His Word will still remain
HE WILL DO SOMETHING NEW TODAY!

Put the silk butterfly in the palm of your open and relaxed right hand and reflect on your Heavenly Father's joy in what you're becoming; how painful it is for you and your family to be coming out of your cocoon but the beauty and grace, peace and joy that will result!

Loving all your family THROUGH this process...

PS Visualising yourself in God's right hand means you can visualise Him holding you (and your marriage and your family)close to His heart:)
Lean into Him, all of you with ALL of each of you -
He loves you enough to hear your struggles, your doubts, your fears, your frustrations
and HE WILL lead you ALL through this valley to a contented home filled with His Light
where you, your husband and children will continue to grow and work as a team; a close-knit family
with renewed dreams and hope.

You and your husband are on a QUEST...
You are both protected with prayer to the One who will provide all you need for this quest.
You will not be destroyed, my dear friends.
You WILL make it!

Oh, Saminda. I am just catching up with the last few days and my heart and prayers go out to you. I would say you have lots of wonderful friends who care about you very much going from the comments. And I would agree with Helen, you are known inside and out by the one who loves you most.
Hugs to you.
When my younger boy was little I felt very lost with knowing where to go next but that took quite a different direction and we left our jobs here and went and worked in the UK for a year. So, different but maybe a bit the same. It was very good for us as a family unit but some of the struggles I had in my faith didn't get better for it. Rest in God, trust in Him.
