Teaching Using Nature

"Must we always teach our children with books? Let them look at the mountains and the stars up above. Let them look at the beauty of the waters and the trees and flowers on earth. They will then begin to think, and to think is the beginning of a real education".

Hi! Have you seen the video about the program called "Get 'Em Outside" in the U.S? Many institutional teachers are beginning to realize the importance of our connection to nature and what a wonderful classroom the outdoors can be! When I look at your blog, I see healthy children whose mother gets 'em outside to learn and explore! love, Beth
p.s. Next time you visit Acorn Pies, click on "I Am a Child of Nature" in the right hand column. I think you would like it.
