Easing Back In....

After weeks and weeks of concerts and events - and sickness - we are easing back in. To normal, every day, at home together, life.

Today is Monday, our longest no-Stuart day (work, late meetings, and netball at night), and I am still far from being 100%..... but it was a good day! Lots achieved and 3 happy little people tucked into bed. And 1 tired Mama soon to go to bed. :) Here's a glimpse of our day.......

early morning drawing session

breakfast dishes still on the table, littlest brother looking on

'cooking' with river rocks

"mix it, mix it, mix it"

researching Michelangelo's art

computer play

homemade bread rolls for lunch

maths

little boy tree play

trying hard at puzzles

baking white chocolate and raspberry muffins

doubling the quantities to make a double batch

chalk space pictures

warm muffins with our afternoon read

and all ready for a rainy play outside before bath time!

Normality is wonderful.

I love when you do posts like this, Min. The children and I love to get a glimpse into your everyday life...it's very much like ours!

Glad you're feeling a bit better today :)

Those muffins look absolutely delicious - I'm sure Saraya was justifiably proud of her effort in the kitchen. She will be such a blessing to you (and is already!) as she becomes even more competent at baking and cooking. You will not regret allowing her to bake during her homeschool day and that is what maths is for - learning to double quantities, measure and estimate are skills for everyday life and so much more fun to learn via baking and eating. Division skills in our family are 12 muffins 8 people (baby misses out!) how many do we each get to have?
Looks like you are having a great time easing back in and its the best way after times of stress. It is exactly what I would advise any homeschool mum to do.

What a busy day - but looks wonderful too! Hope you are feeling better soon & get a quiet, restful week - what a busy time you've had!
Have you guys been having rain? We've had huge amounts today & Ellie & the twins wore their raincoats into town (too cute). Your pic of Will reminded me of that.
Well done to Saraya for cooking those delicious muffins! We love cooking too - although I don't have a good muffin recipe yet.
Have a good evening
Renata:)
