A New Skill

We've just had a lovely few days with my Mum visiting. So nice to have her company, her cuddles, her listening ear, her help with the children. She went home a couple of hours ago, and I miss her already. Looking forward to Easter when all the family will be together again!

Yesterday morning when we went to town Mum noticed that one of the craft stores was having a 50% off everything closing-down sale. She popped in to purchase a special surprise - knitting needles and yarn for Saraya! My little girl has been begging me to teach her to knit for months now, but sadly I don't know how to knit. But now Saraya does, thanks to Nanna's help! And soon, she shall teach me. :)

Little eager eyes watching

And doing it all on her own!

Thanks Mum for coming to spend some time with us this week - we love you and had so much fun having you here. xoxo

What lovely shots of your Mum and Saraya. I'm sure a lovely time was had by all! If only I could knit too! Saraya might have to start on-line lessons for us all ;-)

YAY! I'm so excited for Saraya!!!!
And I wish I had a sale like that happening here! I love yarn, my stash seems to be growing every time I turn my back on it. :) Beware, she could end up getting hooked like me and then there's no point of return! Just make sure she keeps practicing the steps, including casting on, so that she doesn't forget them! ^_^

I'm so happy!

Your mum is beautiful and surely doesn't look old enough to be your mum. What a blessing she is to you all.

That is wonderful - I wish I knew how to knit also - one skill I missed out on learning. I think it will always be special to Saraya that her grandma taught her that.
